Looking for recipe using ground beef and baked beans?!

Question: My mom used to make a casserole with ground beef and baked beans and I have googled and looked in my cookbooks and cannot find it. Perhaps you would be kind and share your recipe with me. I remember most of it, but it's the spicing and the amount of spice where I'm at a loss. I know that I have forgotten some of the spices.

Here's what I remember:

Add 1 can of baked beans on botton of casserole.

Brown ground beef, add sauteed onion and green pepper. Then add dried mustard, vinegar, and brown sugar. Simmer for a few minutes and then cover baked beans with mixture.

Bake a 350

It's really quite good and men love it when the weather turns cold.

Many thanks!

1 lb ground beef
2 (16 ounce) cans pork and beans
1 small onion (chopped)
1/2 green pepper (diced)
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 teaspoon mustard powder
Brown the beef with the onions and peppers; drain off grease.
Lightly spray a baking dish with Pam or your brand of spray.
Mix meat, pork and beans, bbq sauce, catsup, brown sugar and mustard; combine well.
Pour into casserole and bake at 375° for 20 to 30 minutes.

my husband makes this dish called Maxwell special. He cooks hamburger on the stove until brown, drain and then add 1 can of baked beans, heat through and serve. I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but you probably could cook the hamburger and then put the beans in a casserole dish and put the hamburger on top and put it in the oven until heated through. Let me know if you try it.

Hone, you don't need a recipe from us...you already got a great recipe there........just do a little of this and a little of that. add a little worcestershire too. (and i put some barbecue sauce in mine also)

Brown beef with onion and bell pepper if you like and combine with a can of Bush's Barbeque style beans, bake until flavors blend, about 1/2 hour @ 350. Same result!
