I have a question about using canned condensed tomato soup?!

Question: Is it possible to substitute the tomato soup in place of tomato sauce? I don't mean to completely change the recipe but just substitute this one ingredient since I and my family don't really care for tomato sauce unless it's spiced up beyond all recognition. What do you experts say?

As a child, Campbells tomato soup is what we used at home exclusively (many years ago) as a base for many recipes. It's sweeter, too. Julia Childs once complained that it was too sweet. The array of sauces available in supermarkets came later.

We also used Campbell's cream of mushroom soup in many recipes.

If your using it in a recipe such as meatloaf, etc. It should be fine.

Sure! I like the not so tartness of tomato soup better myself.

It definitely depends on the recipe and what you use it for. Cooking is like chemistry, and one thing can mess up the taste. I say go for it, if you don't like tomato sauce, tomato soup seems to be the best option.
