Question: my daughter and I are going to make cupcakes. I saw a recipe and i cant remeber where. so thats why i am asking here.
instread of doing it in a cup cale paper liner thing, it was done in an ice cream cone. so when it is frosted, it looks like a ...ice cream cone. lol how much batter should i put in there?
i want to be sure because this will be her first time doing it with me just looking on, and I dont want her getting upset if we dont do it right lol thanks

==========

Or you can try Betty Crocker's way...

**1 box Betty Crocker? Super Moist? cake mix
**Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
**24 flat-bottom ice cream cones
**1 to 2 containers Betty Crocker? Rich & Creamy frosting

1. Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.

2. Make cake batter as directed on box. Fill each cup 2/3 full of batter (1 heaping tablespoon each). Place ice cream cone upside down on batter in each cup.

3. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean (cones may tilt on batter). Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Remove paper baking cups. Generously frost cake with frosting, and decorate as desired. Store loosely covered.

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Follow High Altitude directions on cake mix box. Fill cones about 1/2 full to make 36 to 40 cones. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

I would use the same amount as for the paper cups, 2/3 full. But I am just guessing.

I think that's a really cute idea. You can always do just one as a test first and then adjust accordingly for the whole batch.

I saw that too, on TV, try food network.com
It was either Paula Dean or Semi Homemade.

You actually have to bake the cup cakes BEFORE you put them in the ice cream cones. You can just spray your muffin tins before you bake the cup cakes and then add them into the tins. After they're cooled, you put them in the ice cream cone. That's how it works.

Good luck!
