What do you make with sour milk?!
Answers: I've never come across anything that needed sour milk.. just curious.
My grandmother use to leave fresh milk on the back of the stove covered with a dishcloth overnight. First thing in the morning she used it to make 'clabbered milk biscuits'.
They use to rise and fill the pan in what folks today call 'cathead' biscuits. OOOOHHH these were the best, moist, melt in your mouth biscuits.
My uncle use to drive 50 miles on a Saturday morning just to have breakfast with those biscuits. This guy knew what missing something meant too, he hated to miss those biscuits. Oh, he had been a POW in Germany in WWII, like I said he knew what missing something meant.
Sadly, my mom never learned how to make those biscuits. So I couldn't learn it from her...

I don't know what you would make with it but I certainly wouldn't cry if it spilled.
I have an amish/mennonite cookbook that often calls for sour milk. Though it doesn't sound good, all you have to do is add about a tablespoon of lemon juice to a cup of milk and let it sit for a couple of minutes. That being said, I have no idea why these recipies call for sour milk rather than milk and a tablespoon of lemon juice ;-)

sour milk is common in german recipes.
Sour milk = a buttermilk substitute; regular milk w/ lemon juice or vinegar added to make it curdle & taste like buttermilk
I've used it in cakes, pancakes, salad dressings. Sometimes the recipe called for sour milk, other times as a substitute for buttermilk.
Use it for Irish soda bread.
I saw it in a recipe for doughnuts one time.
Special sugar cookies, medicine, yogurts, libentine, alot of stuff is made good corn bread hot mexican style breads etc
