That side is buttered therefore it is heavier.

It doesn't.

It does... and if you bend down and listen carefully, you'll hear it laughing.

It doesn't

Only yours does

Got a solution for you - throw the bread on the floor, then butter it

The little leprechauns make themselves invisible and turn it butter side down just before it hits the floor.
They think its fun, they also make sure that everything I drop in my kitchen ends up in the cats water bowl, I'm gonna complain!!

This phenomenon has been the subject of scientific investigation (Seriously). The conclusion was that it doesn't.
My own unscientific conclusion was that it's Sod's Law.

more than likely, it's because you just MOPPED your floor!

Platobee is correct, just because the buttered side is heavier
doesn't make any difference, ask Galileo through one of the idiot spiritualists who ask more stupid questions than anyone.

Seriously, it just seems that way, the odds being exactly 50/50.

Sod`s Law, same as when you get in the shower and the phone rings or even worse Bible bashers knock on the door.

I love hugh1e comment. LOL!!!

Drew is correct. Mythbusters did an experiment regarding this, and found that buttered bread/toast does not always fall buttered side down. In fact, it is about a 50/50 chance for it to fall and land either way.

It's all down to gravity. The buttered side is heavier.

It's the law according toSod or Murphy.
Who is closley related to the sock/laundry fairy, I know I put here but some one moved it fairy.
They are all having a good laugh some where in your house.
