i place the broccoli in a large pan and just a dab of water t steam. i then add a little lemon zest and some fresh grated Parmesan cheese. cover and let simmer for about 5 minutes. it is soooo good

Steamed, with a little salt and butter. Yummy!

Broccoli cheese soup with crackers.

melt a little butter. saute a few garlic cloves in the butter, add a little brown sugar, some balsamic vinigar and some soy sauce. toss with steamed broc.

Broccoli Chantilly

1 1/2 lbs. broccoli
2/3 cup whipping cream
1/3 cup sour cream
1 t. dry mustard
1 T. lemon juice
1 t. grated onion
Salt
Pepper
Paprika (optional)

Cut tough stem ends from broccoli and split stems if large. Cook in 1" boiling salted water until tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Drain carefully and put in warm broiler proof casserole. Beat whipping cream until stiff. Fold in sour cream, mustard, lemon juice and onion. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon dollops of whipping cream over broccoli and sprinkle with paprika; put under broiler until lightly browned. Watch to prevent scorching. Serves 6

I love Broccoli streamed with a cheese sauce. Other favorite is Broccoli with tofu, rice and a garlic * black bean sauce. DELISH!

Broccoli Salad

5 cups fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
1/4 cup of red onion, chopped
1 cup of frozen peas, thawed

Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 cup sugar

Combine broccoli florets, raisins, sunflower seeds, crumbled bacon, chopped onion, and peas in a large serving bowl. In a separate bowl or large cup, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. Add dressing to the salad and toss to mix well; chill thoroughly before serving.
Broccoli salad serves 4 to 6.

If you steam it in almond milk, you can receive all the taste of the almonds and butter without the extra calories.

I love broccoli in just about any form raw or cooked, delicious! One of my favorite ways to eat it though has to be with Mizithra cheese and browned butter. They serve it this way at The Old Spaghetti Factory and it is to die for!
