I'm making mac and cheese!?!

Question: It calls for 8 tablespoons of butter. But there's a picture of a stick of butter. Is that the same amount, or no?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question to ask

Yes, it's the same. I stick of butter=8 tablespoons=half a cup. Remember, "there are no stupid questions." :)

1 stick = 1/2 cup = 8 tablespoons

lovely i will be right over!

Thats a whole stick of butter.

Yes it is...On your butter pkg. you will see marked 8 tablespoons and that equals 1 stick.

Hope it turns out great. I love mac and cheese.

nfd?

Glad I didn't answer above that wonder woman. As far as I know, 8 tablespoons is an entire stick. But don't take my word for it, melt it in a Pyrex measuring jar in the microwave. See for yourself.

Also, I've seen tablespoon marks on the wrapper of a stick of butter. I don't have one in the fridge now, so I can't tell for sure, but I think I recall seeing 8 divisions marked on the wrapper.

Hey, if I'm wrong, and you melt an entire stick of butter and only get half what you need, so what. Just melt another stick. :P

The first answer is correct. Good luck!

A stick of butter is eight tablespoons.

yes if you look on the side of a stick of butter it shows measurments in tablespoon

Not a stupid question. Don't be sorry (ever) for asking a question. The answer is "yes." And thank you for asking.
:-) Enjoy your Mac and Cheese
