Help!!! Chili gone bad!?!

Question: I just made Chili and it called for a little bit of pickle relish and a little bit of mustard. I put them in and it's NASTY. The two flavors completly overpower the rest of the dish. Is there anything I can put in it that will neutralize thoes flavors? Please Help!

a cut up white potato usually cures all ills- over salting and over powering spices. Scoop it out after about 10 minutes of cooking

I would not have used a recipe for chili that called for pickle relish in the first place, mustard maybe, but never pickle relish.

If you keep adding ingredients to take away the taste of what you came up with you are going to make it worse.

If I had to try anything I would try a little bit of sugar.

Trysome Salsa,,, mild to hot... should help overpower that other crap/

Add Cumin and more Chili Power or Chili Power Mix. That might help restore that Chillier taste. Good luck

Water it down, add liquid like tomato. Add more chili powder

Try some passata or a tin of tomatoes to dilute the flavour
