I'm looking to replace my current oven. Which type of oven is best? Fan-assisted gas or electric? Pls advise!

Question: The best ovens in my opinion are convection gas oven, provides rapid heating, maintains constant level better than electric, great for browning, and with convection is more efficient and reduces cooking time, while also insuring even cooking throught, but the cost is more than most people are willing to spend. Your decision would be based on how much you use your oven, and for what meals. If you like gourmet, and want a lot of options in your cooking, go for the gas convection. if your an everyday cook, look into the electric fan assisted ovens, they work just as well, for half the price.

I prefer gas ovens

Whatever you chose don't buy it from Comet. I had a washing machine break down after 3 months and they refuse to replace it. they have sent out 2 engineers so far and neither can fix it. Nearly 3 weeks later I am still wasting money at the laundrette.

I personally prefer gas ovens. I've always had such terrible problems with electric ovens!!!

personally i think that electric fan ovens are best but everyone has their own favourite

I prefer gas ovens. They are a higher than electric but well worth it. Make sure you have a gas line already there. We moved into this house 1 1/2 years ago and had to add a gas line so I could use my beautifull new gas stove. Electric ovens are fine if you do not cook or bake much.
