Need a recipie for cream style corn (baked)?!


Question: 1. CREAMED CORN - EASY SOUTHERN STYLE

6 medium ears fresh corn
? c. butter
? c water
1 tsp. sugar
? c. half & half
2 tsp. cornstarch
salt & pepper to taste

Cut corn from cob (about halfway down the kernel), then scrape well. (You could do this the day before and store covered in the fridge.) Place butter in micro-proof casserole dish and microwave until melted. Stir in corn, water and sugar. Cover tightly with plastic and micro HI 3 min. In the meantime, put the cornstarch into the half & half so it will begin dissolving, stir frequently. Stir the corn and give dish ? turn. Cover again and micro HI 5-7 min. Then stir the half & half mixture into the corn, cover and micro HI 2-3 minutes. Stir well, adding salt & pepper to taste.
This recipe is about 6 servings.

2. CREAMED STYLE CORN

2 1/2 lb. box frozen corn
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. sugar
3/4 c. whipping cream or coffee cream
2-3 tsp. cornstarch

Cook corn in a small amount of water. Add salt, sugar and cream. Bring to a boil and thicken with mixture of cornstarch and a little cream.
Serves 20.

3. CREAM STYLE CORN CASSEROLE

1 can cream style corn
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. cooked rice
1 onion
1 green pepper
1 stick butter
Grated cheese to top

Saute onion and green pepper in butter. Mix all together. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly, about 30-40 minutes in casserole dish. Top with grated cheese when removed from oven.
serves 12

4.HOMEMADE CREAM STYLE CORN

10 ears sweet corn
1 tbsp. self rising flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
1/3 c. oil
1/3 c. water

Boil corn; cut corn off cobs and pour in a cooker. Mix all other ingredients together. Bring corn back to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes. Pour in a bowl, cool and serve.

My mother-in-law makes a wonderful dish using creamed corn. Take two cans of creamed corn and mix in 4 eggs. Crush a sleeve of crackers and add. Brown pork chops. Place a layer of corn mixture in bottom of greased baking dish. Put the chops on top of that and then cover with the rest of the corn mixture. Pepper the top and bake in a 350* oven until the chops are tender and top is crusty looking. This is soooo good.
