Does anyone know how to flour a greased pan?!


Question: If you know, please list these steps in order from 1-7(EX: Sentence1:Step 5 ect.):

1. Hold the pan in both hands, gently turning it to spread the flour evenly over the bottom and sides of the pan.

2. Using waxed paper or a paper towel, spread shortening in a thin, even layer over the bottom and sides of the pan. (This last sentence is NOT a typo)

3. Turn the pan upside down.

4. Sprinkle about 1 tbsp. (15 mL) of flour over the pan.

5. Hold the pan over a large piece of waxed paper.

6. Tap the pan gently to remove excess flour.

7. Tap the pan gently to spread the flour.

Yes, I do but thanks for the asking and listing the instrctions

put a couple of tablespoons of flour in a sifter and instead of sifting the flour, you tap the sifter and it will come out evenly onto the pan.

I've floured many pans in my time while baking & I know how to do it, so I'll pass on answering the quiz. I use Baker's Joy & it's the quickest way to grease/flour my pans when baking. You should try it.

what a lot of trouble I don't flour pans anymore I use cooking spray and no flour, works fine.
