lolz! a serious question, but a funny one... lolz! okay... if you are just going to determine if the cake is cooked through, you should get a toothpick and poke the center of the cake....

you would know if the cake is cooked already when the toothpick comes out clean without any crumbs sticking on to it...

here you go.. hope this helps!

you can check a cake to see ifs done by sticking a fork in it .if it comes out moist its not done.

Don't try it, thermometers have ranges and I'm pretty sure the one you have isn't ment for anything over 150 F

Instead use a tooth pick or a wooden kabob stick. poke the cake and slowly remove, if it comes out clean your cake is done

ew. Let's overlook the OBVIOUS for now. Any thermometer - besides a cooking one - was not designed to withstand the heat/high temperatures of cooked/cooking foods, and - therefore - may break/melt into whatever dish your trying check.

The temperature on the cake will be too high compared to the available measurements on the anal thermometer. It might even burst because of excessive heat. But anal (anus, butt) thermometer on a cake...Eeww, would you really wanna do that? Use a toothpick to check for doneness instead. Insert the toothpick. If it comes out wet, it isn't done. If it's dry, then it's ready.

May I suggest that you clean it first?

you've made my day,LOL
you don't use a thermometer to check cakes ,honey and never use a glass one for foods unless its designed for that purpose (candy thermometer )
take a butter knife or a toothpick and put it in the middle of the cake ,if it comes out clean its done.
have a nice day.

Are you serious? That's gross....

Where are you from that you even have to ask such a question?

You need to buy a Cooking for Dummies cookbook and learn to read the directions before you undertake such a hazardous task as cooking!
