What kind of sauce should I make to go with pumpkin-cranberry-walnut bread?!

Question: I am thinking of a bourbon and/or brown sugar sauce, preferably one that has pumpkin pie spices -- served warm, of course.

Rum Sauce

1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons Myer's rum

Combine water, sugar and butter.
Heat over low heat until mixture reaches a boil. Remove from heat and add rum.

Invert cake on large platter and spoon rum sauce over warm cake.

If I were you and I was winging it, I would probably just do a simple sauce of confectioners sugar and a little milk until its drizzling consistency. Other wise if you want something a bit stronger flavored...
Melt some butter in a pan, add brown sugar, then add some bourbon and a touch of salt.

I would go with Bourbon Butter Sauce.

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey or 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

To make sauce, melt 1/2 cup butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in brown sugar until mixture is smooth. Whisk in cream and bourbon; bring to a boil. Pour into medium bowl; cool completely.
