Philadelphia soft cheese?!
Answers: besides jacket potatoes what yummy things can i make
I like it with sliced potatoes done in layers like a dauphinoise. Its layered with onion and soft cheese and then pour on milk and cook till spuds are soft. Yummmy. Lots of black pepper. Nice with grilled chicken and veg like broccoli or cauliflower.
TRY SAID CHEESE ,ON CRACKERS--------------TOP CHEF
Chicken breasts cooked in white wine with bacon and leeks, stir in a tub of Philly before serving, that's yummy

Take a plain pizza crust. Bake it and let it cool.

tsatsiki
smoked salmon

french onion
they all use cream cheese.
Love this melted with pasta and tuna... don't know if that sounds weird but I love it!
Also melted with pasta and bacon bits or turkey rashers for a lower fat option.
How about a yummy Cheesecake?
Plain Cheesecake
2 8 ounce packages of Cream Cheese
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
ready made Graham Cracker Crust
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Soften Cream Cheese to room temp. Beat in sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Pour into crust.
Bake at 350 for about an hour. Center will still slightly jiggle when done.
VARIATIONS:
Add your choice of:
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup frozen fruit
- 1/3 cup frozen apple juice concentrate thawed, before serving, drizzle with caramel ice cream topping and sprinkle with chopped peanuts.
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin and 1 Tablespoon pumpkin pie spice.
In all honesty - chuck it in anything you suspect it might work with - you can only learn eh? I love philly on a bagel, and in jackets - with jackets I scape them out, then mix it with philly, then put it back in, grate some cheddar on top and pop it under the grill for a few minutes.
Other than that - try it with pasta, or to make a sauce for chicken, or pork chops :)
Lovely pasta sauce. Simmer a can of chopped tomatoes with some basil, a tablespoon of tomato puree, a crushed clove of garlic (or an inch of garlic puree), a pinch of sugar and a pinch of salt for about 2 minutes or until reduced and thickened. Stir in a couple of tablespoons of Philadelphia till melted and serve with tagliatelle or papardelle. Yum.
I love it on pretzels!

Place seamside down in sprayed baking dish. Spoon sauce over. Cover with foil and bake 30 min. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake an additional 5 min or until cheese is melted.
I like to add it to pasta sauces, it makes them lovely and creamy. You can use it to replace cream or creme fraiche which i often do when i have run out...delicious!
