I have some good sweet Vidalia onions. Do you have a recipe for dip that I could use these onions in?!


Question: Vidalia Onion Dip
2 cups Mayonnaise
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Italian Cheese Crumbles
1 large Vidalia or Walla Walla onion, coarsely chopped (about 2 cups)
PREHEAT oven to 375oF. Mix all ingredients until well blended. SPREAD into 8-inch square baking dish.
BAKE 30 min. or until golden brown. Cool slightly. Serve with TRISCUIT Crackers or crackers of your choice.

3/4 to 1 C. finely chopped Vidalia onions

1/2 C. mayonnaise

1/2 C. grated sharp cheddar or swiss cheese

1/8 to 1/4 t. Tabasco sauce

1/4 C. grated Parmesan cheese (not the powder!)

paprika, to taste

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix onions, mayonnaise, cheddar or swiss cheese and Tabasco.

Spread into small baking dish or pie plate.

Top with Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with paprika to taste.

Bake in preheated oven at 350°F. for approx. 30 min. Serve warm with crackers like Ritz, Club, etc.

Not a dip, but a good accompaniment to a dinner! This sounds a bit gross but is sooooo good! Tastes like French Onion Soup!

Cut out center of onion
Place tab of butter in center with 1 chicken bouillon cube
wrap in foil and cook on grill for 30 minutes on med.

Serve with grilled steak, salad and green beans with a good bread to dip in onion mixture. So Good in the Summer months!

Carmalized Onion Dip
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups thinly sliced onion
2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage leaves
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Heat oil in heavy medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add onions and sage. Cover and cook until onions are deep golden brown, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Whisk together mayonnaise and sour cream in a medium bowl to blend. Stir in the cooled caramelized onions, salt, and pepper. Cover dip and refrigerate until flavors blend, about 2 hours.

Very thinly sliced onions,sliced fresh cucumbers, Ranch dressing! Yum!!!

Hello, here's a Vidalia Onion Dip that my family enjoys:

VIDALIA ONION-CHEESE DIP
* 3 large Vidalia onions that have been coarsely chopped
* 2 Tbps. butter,melted
* 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
* 1 cup mayonnaise
* 1 clove garlic,minced
* 1/2 Tsps. hot sauce or to taste

Saute onions in butter until tender. Add cheese and remaining ingredients. Stir well and pour mixture into a sprayed casserole. Bake at a preheated 375 degree oven
for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve this dip with
crackers or tortilla chips:)
