I was going to say potato salad, but I wouldn't serve that AND the rice pilaf...so with your rice, I would add corn on cob, bread, coleslaw
lemonade or sweet tea (or both)
peach cobbler or apple pie

cole slaw... actually I spent time up north in PA, they eat bbq sandwichs and when you get cole slaw.... they put it on the sandwich. I was stunned at first but when I ate it I really really liked it.... a must try if you've never had it like that!

Homemade pinto beans and cornbread, potato salad, cole slaw.

Coleslaw or baked beans would be delicious with brisket. You might also want to add a vegetable such as corn on the cob...yummo!!!

I'm from the south i live in the south

I would say frys/ cole slaw/ mac&cheese/ corn on the cob/ mash potatoes/

all those go good with it..

corn on the cob
cornbread
stuffed mushrooms

pickled veggies are pretty classic but blue cheese coleslaw always goes over well at my parties.

An unexpected side dish that I think would work well...

Chop tomato and avocado. Toss together with a splash of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Easy, delicious, healthy, and colorful.

Good luck!

Here's the way we eat brisket down in Texas.

Brisket
Baked Beans
Potato Salad (or cole slaw)
Sliced onions, pickles.
Bread

Most Texans don't eat BBQ unless they have a good cold beer!
