A friend gave me some venison steaks, and I pan broiled them. Umm umm uum; wonderful! Despite a friend's?!

Question: warning, I do not find it at all "gamey." What are some of your favorite ways of preparing venison? And please, vegetarians, no lectures. Neither the friend who gave me the venison nor I can afford to purchase meat, and 99% of the time I eat beans and rice.

Meat eaters delight" wrap them in bacon and bake, serve with Rice and cream of mushroom soup.

I don't like venison or any game for that matter, just don't care for the gamey taste.

I bet you could find ways to prepare venison on the FOODNETWORK.com site...

Fajitas. Can't go wrong, man.,

I'd say smoke it for a couple of hours in hickory, mmmmmmmm. But considering your budget only allows for beans and rice; you might have to steal the neighbors grill, rob the coal mine and cut down that beutiful hickory in the back yard; or you could cut the meat into stew size chunks and throw it in with the rice and beans.

You can use venison in any recipe that you'd use beef for. Stew, chili, spiedies, broiled, etc. You just have to make sure it doesn't dry out since it has very little fat. We add a pat of butter on top when broiling for example to keep them juicy. My kids would rather eat venison than beef!

cajun blackened over HOT FIRE rules, lots of spices and burn the exterior good...............yummy!!

marinate overnight in italian dressing and cook up. can't go wrong. You can also use it as a base for pasta sauce. Use the bones for a soup base.

Yum.

I make a delicious venison meat loaf with ground venison.....we only get venison when people give it to us too.
