What is your favorite "Magic Bullet" recipe?!
Answers: This question is for anyone who owns a magic bullet (blender). Curious to see what recipes people make! Thanks :)
other than fruit yogurt smoothies, I like making the nacho cheese in there - i just pulse some cheddar cheese chunks with a few small rounds of fresh jalapeno then stick it in the bullet cup (WITHOUT THE BLADE PART) in the microwave and zap it for about a minute or till I see the cheese has melted - so I stand there and watch it and just take it out when I see it's melted and I quickly pour over nacho chips Yummy, gonna make me some now! lol
watermelon coconut margarita
2 cups seeded watermelon chunks
2 ounces coconut flavored rum
1/2 cup shredded coconut
juice from 1 fresh lime
1 cup ice
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a sugar-rimmed glass.
Serves 1.
The Magic Bullet is a horrible product. I felt it was my obligation to make a post that will get internet hits to let other people know and not be fooled into buying The Magic Bullet, a sucky peice of crap machine. Everything on the Infomercial that the actors, which is poorly acted, do is 500x harder in real life.
Making a smoothie with the Magic Bullet turns out completely wrong. Lumpy, and not mixed very well. Anytime ice is introduced, the Magic Bullet's effectiveness drops dramatically! Despite what they show on the infomercial, the Magic Bullet does not make smoothies very well at all!
For the size and storing all of the Magic Bullets components a Blender will save you more space. The Magic Bullet came with 4 Cups, a Large and Small blending containers, 2 blades and of course the Magic Bullet in itself. Now the 4 cups are at least 12oz and the large container is 20oz and the small is about 8oz. Plus the cups have handles on them. Pain in the butt to store. Their is no counter-top storage for that. Now consider that against 1 blender. To me the blender, which mind you is only $20 as appose to $50-100, is a much better deal than the Magic Bullet.
roasted veggie dip
roast for about an hour in oven some veggies then blend with cream cheese (I use zucchini, yellow squash, onion and a red pepper, cut up to be roughly the same size)
I have to divide into 2 batches since the bullet is so small
any type of smoothies
Rick S is sort of right. I loved the product when i saw it on television, so when i saw it in the local Kohl's store i had to have it.
I got home and the first thing i made was a salsa. It seemed to liquify the salsa instead of just chop it up. Most of whatever was near the blade, got liquified and the rest stayed on the top of the container. I evne shook it while it was going to try and work it down to the blade to no avail.
I like it if i have to chop nuts or do something quick but i find that for what i need it for most of the time, it is too small and it just doesnt do what i need it to do. I would rather take the time to cut it by hand than to go through the hassle of using the Magic Bullet.
