Which sounds best?!

Question: On Thanksgiving and Christmas, my granny always made this pumpkin dessert...it was delicious. I can't ask my granny how she made it, so I'm trying to find a recipe on the net...here are some I found from allrecipes. I find that the reviews on that site can sometimes be misleading, so I'd like to know your opinion on which you think would taste best and what I should substitute or change to make them better...here they are:

The last recipe I think is the most similar to my granny's. So, what do you think? And if you have a better recipe, please feel free to share! Thanks!

And a happy Thanksgiving to all you Americans out there! And for those of you who aren't American, happy Tuesday! :-)

Sounds yummy-maybe I'll make it to have something different this year. All the recipes look very similar -the first three are done as a pie the only differences are the spices. I would probably choose one of those over the last one-it has less spices and I'm not sure about the gelatin layer. But if that is the one most like your grandmas I say go for it, but maybe add a little extra spice. Be careful of the one with the raw eggs (buy pasteurized eggs if you make this one)-especially if there will be any kids, elderly or pregnant people eating the dessert. Someone getting salmonella would really ruin the holiday.

the third one - and where is my invite?

It's the holidays, make one of each. Quite frankly they all sound delicious. Pumpkin pie, yum. Cheese cake, double yum. The two of them together?! I think I would cream my pants ;D

Also try foodtv.com. They have a lot of different recipes similar to this. I think the last one looks the best. I've never had it before but it sounds great!

I have made the last one before and it's so good, and the first I seen on the website homepage this morning and thought about making it.

This may be what you are looking for. The chiffon pie is lighter and less bitter than the standard pumpkin pie.

PUMPKIN CHIFFON PIE

1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin cooked
1 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. mace or allspice
1/3 tsp. cloves, ground
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. cream
1 unbaked pie shell (9-inch)
3 eggs, separated

Mix pumpkin, sugar, spices and salt together. Add milk and egg yolks. Mix well. In another bowl, beat egg whites until firm. Fold into pumpkin mix and pour into pie shell. Bake at 450 F. for 5 minutes, then at 350 F. for 45 minutes.
