How far in advance can I make chocolate covered pretzels and pepermint bark? I'll give them on 12/20?!

Question: The peppermint bark would be ok made now. Seal in a ziplock bag using a straw to withdraw as much air as possible. From experience the pretzels need to wait awhile, because they will get stale. I wouldn't do them no MORE than 2 weeks in advance. The reason the popcorn (previously mentioned) keeps on a shelf is because it is vacuumed sealed when it is packaged. Good Luck !!!

You can make them now if you store them in an air-tight container and freeze them.

They aren't any harder than normal this way. Just let them rest at room temp before giving them. They will be fine.

I do this every year.

I would make mine December 10. Keep them in zipper bags in the fridge or in a cool dry place.

it all depends on how you want to serve them. if you want to serve cold and hard make them now and freeze them in an air-tight container. or if you want to serve them not quite as hard make them the day before and freeze them.

You could make them the weekend before, put them in their gift packaging and wait until Dec 20 to distribute.

I would think you can make them anytime now.
I work in a high end grocery store and we've had these plastic containers of chocolate covered popcorn in for over a week now. It sells out by the time Christmas is here and it's very expensive so I would think making your pretzels now would be just fine!
