Having Osso Bucco instead of turkey, what side dishes would be great?!

if you have it as a first course, it usually goes inside yellow risotto (risotto alla milanese) or polenta.

if you have it as a second course then can be served with fresh peas, green beans and mashed potatoes.

the traditional sauce was with lemon, garlic and rosmarino.

Do the usual - Mashed potatoes, carrots, a stuffing and a nice gravey

Mashed potatoes or oven roasted new potatoes
green beans with bacon and garlic

streamed brown rice with chopped parsley.

grilled mushroom, corn and carrots.

Definitely a parmesan risotto, and don't forget the gremolada to accompany the osso bucco.

I serve mine with wild mushroom risotto and side of polenta.

Yum. I'm glad you're doing something unique like this! I love nontraditional Thanksgiving.
