Sourdough starter?!
Answers: I've been working on some sourdough starter for the last couple of days. It seems to be coming along nicely - smell and appearance look good. The consistency has me a little puzzled, though. Right now, it has the consistency of a thin batter. It's very fluid, and I'm not sure if that's right. Does anyone know what the consistency should be?
I haven't made that many sourdough starters, but they always turned out that way. And I've used it...and the bread tasted fine...not as "sour" as I wished for, but it was fine.
Sounds like mine. It's fine. Mine is thriving. I use it for pancakes and bread.
