Hot mash potatoes, yum!

MMMMM HOW ABOUT JUST FRENCH FRIES AND GRAVY!!! NOT A HUGE TURKEY PERSON BUT DONT FORGET THE MASHED POTATOES!!!

roast beef with gravy

You only need about 1/4-1/3 cup of fat to make lots of gravy
You're basically making a white sauce, except it will be brown because of the turkey drippings. Skim off any excess fat from the roasting pan, being careful to leave all the little brown bits that have so much flavor.
Now it's time to add the flour. Sprinkle the flour over the brown bits and fat left in the pan. Cook and stir until the mixture has bubbled for several minutes. Then start adding the liquid.

YUM. A buttered biscuit, anything from the thanksgiving table, fries....almost anything is good with gravy.

Mashed potatoes
Biscuits
Chicken breast
Chicken patties
Pork chops
Rice

Hot turkey sandwich (open) with gravy on top. KFC mash potatoes and gravy.Hamburger and onions and gravy.

chicken fried steak and grits

yummmm...you just made me hungry for egg foo young with rice and gravy!!!

A little Hot sauce

I always end up with WAY more gravy than was needed for the meal, so I pour the leftovers into ice cube trays and drop frozen (or defrosted) gravy cubes into soup, chilli, into meatloaf, over any cooked meat, etc. If you keep your mind on it, you'll find lots of great places to throw a little home made gravy.

I like a white parsley gravy poured over fish and leeks, and mopping it up with mashed potato.
