Shortbread cookies?!
Answers: Is there a recipe for shortbread cookies that doesn't call for powder/confectionary sugar?
You can use granulated, they'll just have a slightly coarser texture. Powdered sugar dissolves more easily, so shortbread cookies usually call for it. I always use granulated, since it's what I usually have on hand, and they come out just fine.
Also, you can toss the granulated sugar in your blender for a few minutes if you want it to be powdered sugar, it works well, but it's a hassle to pull out the blender IMHO, so I don't usually bother.
Yes, go to twww.argostarch.com they have great recipes and easy to make.
