Which do you prefer when cooking, regular size Clove Garlic or Elephant Garlic?!

Question: I'm a very experienced cook, so no pretenders.

Answers: I'm a very experienced cook, so no pretenders.

I find that the smaller type of garlic has a more intense flavor, and if you grow it yourself, that's a plus!

I prefer working with the elephant ear cloves as they are easier to crush and mince with my stumpy hands. I don't discern a noticeable difference in flavor and feel they skin much easier for the work you have to put into it.

My money is on the elephant ears!

I prefer the clove garlic, since it has a much spicier flavor. I've not used the elephant garlic since I prefer my flavors bold.

Clove! Easier to use and better favor.

Regular size clove seems to have a better flavor for cooking. I prefer elephant garlic for roasting. When I eat a lot of it, I get flatulance and it smells just like garlic.

I prefer Elephant garlic. It is easy to peel and to use, but is much harder to find in small towns. It also has a milder flavor, while regular-sized garlic can be bolder and lasts a lot longer.

I've not cooked with elephant garlic, but I do know how much Ilove clove garlic. The taste is so strong and bold, which is how I like my dishes

Then you should know the difference. Elephant Garlic is not as strong and tends to be creamier when baked whole.
It all depends on what you are using it for.
I work for a farm that grows both and sells to chefs only.
Most experienced chefs only buy the regular size.
