Why are cheese slices so small?!

Question: It never fails that every time I have to make a grilled cheese sandwich I always have to use 2 slices. Granted one slice isn't quite enough but I'm pretty sure thats what drove the whole thick slices idea. The problem is that they still aren't BIG Enough.

Does anyone know if they attempted this idea and it flopped? If you're going to make something for a sandwich shouldn't it fit a standard sandwich bread slice?

Nothing worse than a corner of a grilled cheese sandwich w/o cheese.

they should make cheese slices with round corners to fit the bread

If you get cheese from a deli you can tell them that you want it sliced thick. Already packaged cheese is usually sliced all the same.

Coz they are designed to fit in standard sized burgers and rolls...

go to your local deli. they got heftier sized cheese.

I mean, its not like we're starving ina third world country, that would be awesome, but NOOO! we are stuck in America, and people can live freely without fear of rebel slaughter ,with health insurance, and hospitals, and STUPID THIN CHEESE SLICES! when will we ever get a break? People always tell me to send my left overs to Africa, how selfish can africans be, always looking for a handout. Am I right?
