Answers: sounds good. beef and rice tonight. Thaw it out dear.

absolutely

If you are going to cook it until it is crumbled (like to add to a a sauce or make hamburger helper) then no, you can put it in the pan while still frozen. If you are going to make hamburger patties, etc., then you would obviously have to thaw it first.

of course you don't want to cook it frozen.

You dont have to but it is much easier to cook with.

you dont have to

no! just fry it up!

You can put it into the pan and turn the burner down, with a spoon keep breaking it apart on the edges.

OR defrost it in your microwave.

You can cook it either way, but if frozen it is full of water and won't stick together well for forming patties, or to crumble, you will have to drain the water as it cooks.====

All meats, poultry and fish should be thawed completely before cooking. It ensures even cooking. If you saute frozen meats, the ice melts, creates water...which turns to steam....then you no longer have a saute, and you wouldnt get desired results. Hope this helps
