I live in South Florida but it's supposed to drop to the low 50's tonight. Hey for us that's cold. I plan on making some French Onion Soup. It's so easy. Brown the onions slowly in a cast iron pan on low heat, boil up some beef stock. Add a few spices; salt, pepper, parsley then toss in the onions when they're a nice dark brown. Cut up some day old bread, rub it with garlic and toast. Put the soup in individual bowls, pop on one of the toasted croutons, smother in Gruyere and broil til the cheese is melted.

Heaven. Pure heaven on a chilly night. Though if it doesn't get cold enough, I may have to put the A/C on to get in the mood. Yup, defnintely a night for French Onion Soup!

Hmm good question, I was going to do a risotto but I am not sure I can really be bothered to cook- takeaway is a much better option!
