How long will a 2lb frozen pot roast take to cook at 200 degrees?!

Question: I forgot to take it out of the freezer last night so at 1pm I put it in the roast pan frozen with a can of mushroom soup & a can of diet coke. I prefer a low temp so I don't overcook it, I want it to be tender.

I've done the same thing. Cover it with foil so it doesn't dry out, it should take about 4 hours, 2 hrs into cooking bump it up to 250, and the last 30 or so min bump it up to 325 so the internal temp can reach 150 or so. If you don't have a thermom. 4 hours should do quite well. Happy cooking

Should be fine. I've baked frozen chicken before and no one died. It might be your tastiest pot roast ever!!

do not cook frozen meat.
thaw it out over night in the refrigerator.

Never ever cook anything at under 200 degrees because if you do you run the very real risk of getting a fodborne illness.
Get that temp up to at least 300
Stick the roast in a covered pan
It's a pot roast and as such it's almost imposible to overcook

1. Don't cook frozen meat.
2. Invest in a meat thermometer
3. Cook at 300
3. Keep cooking your roast until the internal temp of the thickest part reaches 150 for medium.
4. Enjoy.

Your looking for an internal temperature between 160 180F
Est: 1 1/2hr should still be your check point ,,,then 15 - 20 min intervals to the desired temp..
BTW I would add some potatoes and carrots to the soup.(+)
cellery and onions...
and I would keep it covered with foil the first hour..

the have oven bags out there that you can use to cook a thawed roast in. in the seasoning section of the store they have bag and season gags. they have the cooking directions on the package.
