What is on the menu for.......?!
Answers: So what is on the menu at your house for Thanksgiving. We always have our favorites but I am looking for something we might be missing or would be good to add!!!
Roast turkey and stuffing/dressing; mashed potatoes and gravy; green bean casserole; sweet potato casserole; a relish tray with sweet and dill pickles, green and black olives, carrot and celery sticks, broccoli and cauliflower florets; deviled eggs; cranberry sauce; macaroni and cheese; crescent rolls; pumpkin pie; cherry pie; pecan pie; and a lime jello salad.
I am doing most of the classics, with a few twists thrown in. I am not having nearly the crowd that I had last year, so I am going easy on myself, for once! For appetizers, I am doing shrimp cocktail, roasted asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, liver pate', and a cheese and sausage plate. For Dinner, it's butternut squash soup, a brined and roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with Parmesan, Brussels sprouts with shallots and garlic, cranberries and brandy. For Dessert, it's cherry pie and pumpkin pie. Nice and simple this year!

LOL. I just asked the same question. I'm not sure what we're doing. My hubby told me his parents and brother were coming and we were eating out. Now, just last night, he says, "I'm not sure if I want to make dinner at home" (!?!?!) I think he meant that he's not sure if I (me, the wife) will be making dinner at home!
So I am not sure but since I have four little ones I try to keep it simple with just the very basics: Turkey, Stove Top, sweet potatoes (no marshmallows, Alton), peas, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, Martinelli's sparkling juices, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.
My favorites are the pumpkin pie with cream cheese layer on the bottom and the million dollar Jello salad (for Jello, it's expensive to make like $25) that my mom made every year when I was a kid. Mmmmm. Oh, and my mother-in-law's ambrosia. Yummy!

A few years ago I began to make a stuffing using, butter, celery, onions, toasted walnuts, apples, sausage, cranberries, apple juice, white wine, sage, tyme, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, rosemary, it tastes great. I like to add along with the usual plain stuffing we always have year after year.
