Caldo de res?!

Question: i am going to make calo de res.....but my STUPID ASSS bought a shoulder roast because it had the same bone as the meat needed for the soup....

it says so not boil it cause meat will thicken,,,,,if i slowly cook the meat in a separate pan, and add it at the end...will that work?

or is there any other way i can use this meat for the soup?

Cut it into small pieces and let it boil for longer time. It will soften BELIEVE ME. Add the bones to the caldo for taste. Dont freak out. It will work out just as well.
