Are spots in cornmeal ok?!
Answers: I noticed tiny black spots in my bag of cornmeal flour. is it spoiled
It's normal. If you aren't sure if it's meal or a little mite, sift it and look at them closer. If it's a weevil, toss the bag and check any other dried meals or flours stored near it. In the future, store it in an airtight container or the 'fridge or freezer.
Perfectly normal. They are just part of the corn that has been processed...and sorry, but whatever was with the corn. Gross, I know, but it's okay...sometimes the kernals are not always yellow...so it could be that as well...some colored kernals got mixed in.... so it's okay. If they are moving.... eehhwww.... throw it away!! :) Good luck!
Sometimes it is minute particles of the corn cob that has gotten mixed in. It will hurt nothing and might give a little bit of fiber.
Just cook it
