Should gelatin smell like fish?!
Answers: I just made some up and It stinks, will it make my cheesecake taste gross, It says it is colourless and tasteless, but I dont trust it.
if you don't trust the product, don't use it.
Having said that I would read the ingredients on the package... there are forms of gelatin made from seaweed and fish by products.

if it smells fishy it will probably flavor your recipe in unpleasant ways.
don't eat it!
give it 2 someone to taste it 1st
Hmmm that sounds gross, does it taste like fish lol?
gelatin is usually made from animal bones -there were rumours in the 70s that some imported stuff used human bones!! - check if yours is made from fish bones.
Well... I doubt it will make your cheesecake taste "gross" but... do you know what gelatin is? It wouldn't necessarily smell like fish unless maybe it was fish gelatin...
From www.dictionary.com:
Gelatin: a nearly transparent, faintly yellow, odorless, and almost tasteless glutinous substance obtained by boiling in water the ligaments, bones, skin, etc., of animals, and forming the basis of jellies, glues, and the like.
Yuck.
Let me answer this Question with a question: Should semen smell like gelatin?
No! Shouldn't smell of much at all - especially fish! It's made from the collagen extracted from the bones of cattle and pigs etc. Get rid of it.
gelatin does smell horrible...but it doesnt affect the taste of what u r putting it into since its used in really small quantities.
Should not the same flavor.

It probably was made from fish. I mean that seriously. If the gelatin is fresh from the store I would trust it and make the cheesecake. The cheese is strong enough to cover any perception of fish.
Not unless a jelly fish!!!!!!!!!!
Your fridge stinks. Place activated coal in your box.
