NO egg Salmon Patties?!
Any advice would be great.
Answers: I have a wonderful recipe for salmon patties but i don't have any eggs. Will they turn out with no eggs? I have everything but eggs to make them.
Any advice would be great.
Use a tablespoon or two of mayonnaise instead of egg to add the necessary moisture and bind the salmon and other ingredients together. That's what I do and they turn out great.
Adding an egg is not necessary. You may want to add more breadcrumbs/cracker crumbs to help everything to bind together by allow it to soak up the necessary moisture.
Adding mayo will melt.
Mayo will work to bind the ingredients, but I also add a little chopped red bell pepper and ketchup/mayo based dressing. It is 4 am here, so I am not going to wake up my husband looking for the recipe.
The best trick is to chill the mixed ingredients in patty form for about 1/2 hour first. That way they stick together and don't break off in little annoying crumbles.
sorryr never made with out edgs. i would suggest cream, butter, egg jotes ,,,,,,,,margarine, powerded,,,....---------------milk

Try this........
Sugar Glazed Salmon
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon water
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/3 pounds salmon fillet
DIRECTIONS
In a shallow baking pan, combine the olive oil, water, red wine vinegar, garlic, garlic salt, black pepper and basil. Place salmon filet in the marinade meat side down, if skin is still on. Marinate for 30 minutes.
Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate.
Coat the salmon filet lightly with sugar. Place on grill and cook 12 minutes per side. Baste with marinade periodically while cooking. Salmon is done, when it flakes easily with a fork.
