Egg Substitute?!


Question: I want to make my special italian meatballs ( you know with the beef, veal, pork and a lil red sauce) for my favorite aunt. But she is alergic to eggs... I didnt know this was even possible... what can i use instead of bread crumbs and eggs to bind them together???

I'm not quite sure what to tell you. I would make a small batch and try it with egg substitute and see if it comes out the same. I'm sure it will be a tad bit softer and you might have to add more crumbs to it but I would try that and if it works, then you know you will be able to use the substitute. I have always put eggs to hold my meat together because no one I knew of had an egg allergy.

You can use egg substitute, I believe. You'll find them in the same place you find the eggs.
