How do you make instant hot chocolate without the marshmallows melting while you stir the mix in?!

Question: By marshmallows I mean the kind that comes WITH the mix, meaning the mini marshmallows. I just can't seem to do it.

LOL... Isn't that always a pain! I always add an extra handful of minis that i keep in a ziplock bag. You can also pick the marshmellows out with a spoon and add them in at the last moment.

Life is always full of disappointments.. and the tiny swirls of melted marshmellow before even the first sip is one of them!

strain the marshmallows out ,till after you have the coco mixed

Sounds like you should pick out the marshmallows before adding the hot water.

Dang; stealth beat me to it.

You cant do it if the marshmallows are in the choc. The heat of the hot choc is what is melting the marshmallows. Only thing I can suggest is to remove the marshmallows out of the packet before you pour it into the hot water.

Pick a instant hot chocolate mix without the marshmallows and then add your own and you can have as little or lot as you want.

Make the choc. the normal way and then add your own marshmellows to the mix and drink and enjoy.
