How come bacon has gone from 16 oz to 12 oz?!

Question: I noticed the pan wasn't full this morning.

Answers: I noticed the pan wasn't full this morning.

The cost of corn as driven livestock feeds through the roof. Your decline in pork slices may be due to the cost increase in raising the pork.

So since its costing more consumers are paying more/or same for less in your case.

Probably to make it look healthier when you read the Nutritional Information.

It seems anymore, that you always get less and pay more. The price a bacon is high now.

its a conspiracy

Note the cost hasnt changed and yet your getting less product. Also keep a close eye on purchases at Wal-Mart. Pepsi cubes used to be 24 cans but Wal-mart wanted an 18 can cube only thing they didnt change the price.

You will find this is true of many items. Most people notice quickly when an item goes up in price and get angry about it. You would be surprised how many don't notice that the price remains the same while the amount is reduced. Whats real fun is to look at how some items have to keep the same package size and have done this 'reduction' multiple times so now the package you used to buy is only half full now.

Beef jerky is a very good example of this.

Marketing & profit taking..
It is a free (fair- thats a joke) market and the consumer regulates the price-- REMEMBER..Buy it or not

MILK is near $5.00 gal..
Insanity
Like you and I have a true choice at standard packging..
Like when they reduce the sugar or satl they jack the price
What control do we have..?
It is a $$$$ isue
You want the government into price regulation ,, we had that.!.
It is close to a time of revolt but HOW..
