For dessert cream cheese balls, can I use any cheesecake recipe for various flavors?!

Question: I've been asked to provide these for a church function in Dec and I wanted to make at least 2, if not 3, and I haven't had very much luck finding recipes online for the dessert versions and I wanted them to fit in with the traditional Christmas flavors if possible. The dessert versions are just one recipe that is copied from one website to another. I know there are flavored mixes to make them that can be purchased online as well as at local upscale gift shops. If I'm not able to find anything else, those are what I'll go with.

But I was wondering if a regular cheesecake recipe could be adapted and how would you do that? Just use the same flavoring ingredients that you would for a cheesecake and mix it with the cream cheese for the dessert ball?

If this is a sweet version of a cheese ball I'd omit the eggs from your cheesecake recipe add some heavy cream or sour cream depending on your tastes. Add the usual extract vanilla lemon or almond whatever bests suits the other flavors. Of course a sweetener such as sugar, honey might be too runny. You can top with pie filling you could flavor with instant pudding mix such as pistachio and roll in chopped toasted oistachios. Sour cream and lemon curd toppping. Plainer with heavy cream and vanilla might pair better with cherry topping and almond extract, blueberry or strawberry toppings.

I dont know about the whole thing...but I made a cheesecake yesterday (from scratch, but you dont bake, you just chill it) I had cream cheese, icing sugar and double cream. Once whisked, from that consistancy, you would have been able to make cream cheese balls. But im not sure what they are and if thats what you were asking so thats the best i can do! Sorry, im so not the best baker!!
Good luck though :)
