How do I make delicious mouth watering pot roast?!

Question: I do mine in a pressure cooker and it is a huge hit. First season and brown the meat then you put it in a pressure cooker and let it cook for about 2 hours ( put celery, onion and garlic in the water with the pressure cooker) Then after that I add the potatoes and carrots and let it cook under pressure for about 15 more mins after it starts hissing. Then I take it out and make everyone happy. I hope this helps.

Slower less temperature cooking.

agreed ... use a crock pot recipe. you can get entire cookbooks on how to make things in a crock pot. and there's little effort involved!

idk i'm a vegetarian.

Go to "About.com" and search "cooking" - tons of recipes for pot roast, either in the oven, or my favorites, in a crock pot, so you can stick it in in the morning, go to work, whatever, and it's there waiting for you when you get home, ready to dig into.

5.5 hours on high in the crock pot. No water.

Cook it longer and then longer still.

I marinate my pot roast over night by using Italian dressing and McCormicks season all. First thing in the morning I either place the roast with the marinade in foil tightly or in my slow cooker. In the oven I cook all day on 220 in the slow cooker I do the same cooking all day.

I add my potatoes, carrots and onions later in the day

Ex pot roast in slow cooker at 7am add potatoes, carrots and onions at 2:30
Serve at 4:30 5:00

Well, there's many ways to make it based on what types of flavors you'd like to throw in with it. I like to make mine in the crock pot for at least 8 or 10 hours on low. I throw in crushed tomatoes, garlic, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, water and veggies like carrots and potatoes. Then whatever spices you feel like throwing in. It'll be so tender and flavorful, you'll love it!

You can either cook it in the oven or a crockpot. I would recommend a crock pot. Sprinkle the roast all over with seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic, whatever you have on hand). Then add some cut up potatoes and carrots. pour water over the whole thing until its almost up to the top. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.

Sear the meat on each side to seal in the juices first. This is as simple as heating up a frying pan and turning the roast in it until each side is brown. Then put the roast and all your veggies in a crock pot. Fill the crock pot with one can of cream of mushroom soup, then about 3/4 of the way full of water. Let it roast for a few hours, checking it after that to see if it's done. (Obviously cooking times differ depending on size of the roast, how many and what kind/size veggies, etc)

Good luck!

Put the roast in the roasting pan, sprinkle on a packet of dry onion soup mix, some ground black pepper and a smidge of paprika.
325 degree oven for 3-4 hours.
Tender and falls apart.
Slow and low temperature is best for cheaper cuts of meat.
You can also create miracles using a crock pot slow cooker.

Betty Crocker always helps.

There ain't nothing better than a crock pot....and it's so easy. Put your meat in the bottom, Add a quartered onion, lots of carrots and potatoes. Add Kitchen Bouquet with a half cup of water. Sprinkle Garlic Powder, Cracked Pepper and a touch of oregano.

Simmer on low all night............mmmmmmmmmmm!

I buy the seasoning cooking bag and tenderize it with a two prong knife. I sprinkle on the seasoning after placing it in the cooking bag. I throw in a pound of frozen "stewing vegetables" and one whole sliced onion. I then pour in the recommended amount of water, seal the bag and cook it in the oven at the recommended temperature and add some time if needed (for the added veggies),

I use my black enamel roaster with a little small amount of water with some beef bouillion cubes in it and some onions. I put some slivers of garlic into the beef too. I get alot of compliments on it. YUM YUM... You put some of that roast on your forehead and your tongue will be beating your face to get to it

a pot roast requires time if you have a slow cooker then it is easier, just put the roast your veggies (sliced onions, cubed red potatoes, cubed celery and sliced carrots) seasoning and just set it in the morning before work and it should be done by the time you come home from work. some recipes below:

The best cut of meat for a mouth watering roast is to use a chuck roast, about 3-4 pounds minimum.
Take a casserole dish. Place the roast in it. Slice a onion, Mince 2 cloves of garlic, sliced fresh mushrooms, and add some baby carrots and place on top of roast. Mix 1 can of cream of mushroom soup with 1 can of water, 1 Knorr's Beef Boullion together. Pour over the roast. Cover with foil. Bake in 350*F oven for 4 hours.
