Cherry problem?!


Question: how can i stop ,my friut ( cherries this time ) from sinking to the bottom of the cake tin ,when cooking ? is there a problem with the mixture. even thow they taste alright

There are a couple of methods which you could use, one has already been mentioned, shake the fruit in flour (plain flour) or you could use icing sugar instead of flour. The other method is to give the cherries a coating of egg mix, this helps the fruit stick to the cake mix.
Hope this helps.

Try rinsing them under the tap, drying off and then coating in flour. Sure my Grandma swore by this method!
