Baking brownies?!
i usually use a glass pan with spray in a gas oven. can anyone help?
Answers: ok guys i am tired of making brownies that are nice and soft in the middle of the pan but the corners are burnt. i tried to take them out sooner, but then the middle is mushy.

Your oven's too hot. Have you checked the temperature with an oven thermometer? Sometimes (a LOT of times actually), what your dial setting says and what the actual temperate IS inside are two completely different things.
I like making brownie "cup cakes" -- they always bake up nice and chewy and perfectly done. Use a muffin pan and paper cupcake liners. You get two dozen individual brownies.
Try putting the brownie batter in a thinner layer. And turn your oven down 25-50oF.
When you are baking your brownies..make sure that you have a thin layer even if this means making two different pans. Also if you are not a health freak then instead of PAM you could use real butter...what you also might try is to put maybe 2 or 4 tbsp. of milk in the batter. Also you might want to try putting tin foil if the butter, or milk does not help with the burning around the edges. Well i hope this helps you!
