Dinner idea - sausage and apples?!

Question: When I was growing up, my mom use to make sausages served with apples and rice. I cannot remember how she use to make it, and was wondering if anyone has ideas on how to cook them and serve them together.

I have breakfast sausages and mackintosh apples. I also have couscous that I could replace with the rice, but I'm not sure about that!

Thanks!

you could bake them together in a casserole, slice the sausages, and apples, make the couscous, put it in the bottom, add some water , put the apples in a layer with cinnamon and a little sugar, put the sausage on top, cover. Bake in the oven, 350 for30 min. all the flavors cook together. Make sure the sausage is done, it may take a little longer.

Grill the sausages; then slice the apples and fry them in a little oil. Takes about 10 minutes.

I like apple and chicken salad, it is rice apple, green pepper and chicken but you could substitute the chicken for pork and apple sasauges, this also works well with cous cous

sautee apples whatever size you want in a little butter a bit of brown sugar if you want the apples sweeter. Set aside if you want apples and rice mixed, then add already cooked rice to apples and stir fry the rice with the apples. cook sausages like you normally would.
