I need help with a drink recipe!!!?!

Question: I got this recipe off the food network and I wanted to make it with our Thanksgiving dinner but I wanted to serve it cold. Im not much of a wine drinker so I dont know if I can cool it and if so exactly how to (leave it out to room temp. then refrigerate or just refrigerate or what). Only serious answers please :) Thanks

1 bottle Spanish red table wine
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup brandy
3 tablespoons sugar
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced

Combine wine, juice, brandy and sugar in a medium saucepan over low heat and heat until the sugar has melted. Add the orange and lemon slices and let simmer for 5 minutes. Serve in heat resistant glasses.

It's not a hot toddy, it's Sangria, so just chill it and enjoy!

If you want to serve it cold instead of hot, merely mix the ingredients, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved, and keep in the fridge until ready to serve.

It's obviously meant to be a hot toddy. But if you want to serve it cold you can put it in a plastic container and put directly into the refrigerator or even in the freezer for a little while.
