How would you make minty chocolate brownies? Can I use the Andes mints?!

Question: YES! I just made them like this the other day!!! It was an alternative recipe on the bag of the brownie box. Pour half the batter in the pan. Break up a 1/2 cup worth of Andes Candies into the pan. Pour the rest of the battter in and bake. They were awesome.

You could do that... break 'em up a bit and dump them in the mix... they'd melt and leave minty-chocolatey goopy piles in spots.
Or find mint extract. I get some every year around this time for my holiday baking... its like 3 bucks for 2 little bottles at walmart. Fair warning- only use a drop or two! Its some powerful stuff!

I'd just make regular brownies and add a drop or teo of mint extract. But my favorite way (and I just did this last week) is to make regular chocolate brownies and then put mint icing on them. I even add a drop of green food coloring to it.
