I am brining this year for the first time. Im extremely worried will it be too salty?!

Question: I have 2 - 23 pounders, 1 I am brining with the William Sonoma apple spice brine and the other just a basic brine of 2.5 cups kosher salt 2/3 cups bown sugar and 1 tbs peppercorns. (2.5 gallons of water)

I am so nervous I am considering just brining the apple spice one. Any thoughts?

it won't be salty as long as you make sure you use enough water and do not forget to rinse the turkeys off before cooking them. your turkeys will turn out great!

I brine my turkey every year.... and..... I work at William Sonoma, their brine is excellent. It will be delicious. But both of the brines will work fine. Dont be worried.

Brining is the best thing for turkeys (and other meats) since they invented the gobble gobble! I'd add Bay Leaves, Cayenne, Dried Basil and a little Liquid Smoke, but that's me.
'Leave them set' chilled overnight (8 hours) then rinse, dry and let come to room temp before cooking!
