The apple sauce is also a good substitute for sugars in your cooking

Wheat flower instead of White Flower.
Splenda instead of Sugar

(you can use the spray butter instead of cooking oil in most recipes ... just measure the same amount)

For coating pans spray butter instead of real better

Some recipes you can use skim, or low fat milk instead of whole milk ... only be careful sometimes it makes things a little runny, if this happens put a little corn startch or flower in and it should firm it up.

yes you can make sugar fre cookies or sugar free cup cakes

yes, i use applesauce a lot....in place of oil.
egg whites instead of the whole egg.

Yes; use margarine instead of butter or substitute sugar instead of sugar (however, it might not rise as much)

Applesauce is a great substitute in baking althugh it does alter the texture slightly, cookies will be more cake like.
