How do you thaw a frozen turkey?!
Answers: It's frozen and needs to be thawed and ready to start cooking in about 30 hours.
Leave it in its packaging and thaw it submerged in cool water. Keep the water running slightly, rather than just leaving it in still water. The convection of the water movement makes a huge difference. It is the fastest way to thaw meats quickly and safely.
soak it in the sink in cold water
Keep it the original bag and leave it in the refrigerator. Since you only have 39 hours, I would take it out every four hours or so, put it in the sink and run cold water over it to soften it somewhat. Dry it off and put it back in the refrigerator. Repeat as needed and it should be thawed by Thanksgiving. Whatever you do, don't leave it out on the counter to defrost.
IT takes forever about 2-4 days in a refrigearator or 1-2 on a counter or sink
Start unthawing your turkey in the sink w/ cold water and as time progress move it into the refrigerator especially if you are not around. Keep in mind that you will have to also have time to thoroughly clean the turkey and allow it to rest before anything else can happen. Good Luck
