Calling all cooks! I need help with an asparagus dish I'm going to make?!

Question: Ok, so I am copying this dish I had somewhere but making a few changes. I know the ingredients I want to put in it, but I don't know how to actually go about cooking it.
So, the ingredients are:

Asparagus
Mushrooms
Almonds or Walnuts (what do you think?)
Gorgonzola Cheese
Red Onion
Olive Oil
Jane's Mixed Up Salt (Its a salt mixture w/ herbs and spices)
Pepper

The one I had was served cold, but I would like it to be a hot dish. I want the asparagus on the crispier side, and I plan to mix the gorgonzola in last as I do not want it to melt.
So how should I go about making this? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Saute the onion and mushrooms in the olive oil. When they are almost done, add the Asparagus and cook to desired tenderness. Mix well with the salt & pepper and place in dish. Top with the crumbled cheese and sliced almonds. Serve immediately.
