What spices should I use? Thanksgiving emergency!!!?!

Question: I have a recipe for "Savory Cheesecake" (which is more like a dip) that calls for cream cheese, bleu cheese, onions, bacon, whipping cream, eggs, and 1/4 cup fresh "assorted spices". What are they? I have no clue as to what I can use. Please help, this is for Thanksgiving dinner!

I would use thyme. You don't have to use fresh herbs. If prepared the night before or early in the day, dried herbs will work just as well. Just remember that you use 1/3 the amount called for in fresh herbs (4 tbsp= 1/4 cup fresh equivalent to 1+ tbsp dry). Another option is to use an Italian herb blend.
Use fresh chopped chives or Italian parsley to sprinkle on top.

Just saw a package in the produce aisle at the local market "savory spices" that looked liked assorted sprigs of thyme, rosemary, maybe oregano? That's probably what you'd need, look in the produce aisle for the little 1/2 ounce bags.

Rosemary? Thyme? Sage? Paprika?

try herbs for this recipe. chives, rosemary, lemongrass, thyme, etc. experiment to see what combos compliment each other.

Spice can be garlic, or salt and pepper, maybe cayenne pepper.

because it says savory, my guess would be that they would be bazil, oregano, rosemary, parsley and possibly thyme
Here is a recipe I found similar to your ingredients
Blue Cheese Cheesecake
1/4 C. breadcrumbs

1/4 C. Parmesan cheese

2 8 oz. packages cream cheese

1/3 C. heavy cream

4 eggs

2 - 3 drops Tabasco sauce

1/2 lb. bacon finely chopped

1/2 lb. blue cheese

Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp. Drain on a paper towel. Saute the onion in 1 T. of the bacon grease. Set aside to cool slightly.

Mix together breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese in a bowl. Shake them into a buttered 9 inch spring form pan. Remove excess.

Add the cream cheese, cream, eggs and Tabasco sauce together in a mixing bowl. Beat until creamy. Add the onions, bacon and blue cheese to bowl and blend well.

Pour mixture into the prepared pan. Shake to settle and to get rid of air bubbles.

Place the pan in a larger pan with 2 inches of water. You may need to wrap aluminum foil around the cheesecake pan, depending on your pan.

Bake at 325°F. for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Turn off oven and crack the door. Remove the cheesecake from the larger pan. Leave cheesecake in the oven.

For spices try: 1/2tsp chilli powder,1/4 tsp ground cumin,1 tbsp fresh Cilantro.

1/2 tspoon basil, 1/2 tspoon oregano.

For fresh herbs try: 1 tbspoon each of minced fresh chervil, fresh flat leaf parsley, basil, oregano, sage.

2 tbspoons chopped fresh tarragon, 1 tsp chopped fresh dill, 1 tsp dried onion flakes, 1 tbsp lemon juice. this goes lovely with blue cheese.
