What is the best way to gift homemade bread?!

Question: Wrap in saran wrap or foil? Tie a ribbon around it? Attach a label or card?

A homemade gift really speaks for itself, so i would use celophane. You can buy celophane in bags or just buy a sheet of it and place the bread in the middle and bring the neds together. If the bread is moist, such as banana or pumpkin bread, I would wrap it in saranwrap too just to keep it from drying out. If you are making a yeast bread, it might be fun to take a scrap of dough roll it out to make the person's name and bake it on to the bread. Another good idea would be to wrap it in saran wrap (plastic wrap is better than foil because it tears less easily and you can also see the bread) and put the bread in a basket with a tea towel and some gourmet jams and/or oilve oils.

why would you want to give anyone bread??

I do baked gifts every year. I go to the party store and get the cello bags. You can get them in any colors or designs. I always put a twist tie on it plus some pretty ribbon. I also put a card with what it is and the ingredients, just in case of allergies.

Doesn't matter to me...just mail it to...oh wait. Not for me :-(

We sell shrink bags where I work, and that's what we use to wrap our bread. We don't shrink them though, since it makes the bread kind of soggy from humidity. Just tie the top of it with a bow, and attach a little card.

Put into a little Basket, Wrap cellophane around it, Tie a bow on top, and add a sweet small greeting card,

~You can also tell them how you made the bread so they can made it themselves the next time they crave your delicious bread!

make it pretty and give it to them with a nice new plate. :)

Definitely wrap in a colorful saran wrap....something with a rich red color is always pretty.

Use sparkly ribbon and make it curly by taking the edge of a pair of scissors and scraping it along the end of the ribbon.

A gift card is gorgeous on something like this...with perhaps the type of bread it is and or the ingredients used....

never know when someone might have an allergy.

Wrap in saran wrap, then in a tea towel and ribbon.

I buy those big rolls of saran wrap in bright holiday colors and tie with a ribbon. Since I know all the people I give it to, I don't have to worry about allergies.
Oh yes, I have made small loaves in small ceramic loaf pans I found in the dollar store, so pretty, they then have a new mini loaf pan.
